Overview

We begin by cruising up the North-East Coast, via the north Comino channel to reach the island of Calypso, Gozo where you will arrive at approximately 11:30 hrs. Upon arrival at the Mgarr Harbour you will be greeted by our representative who will drive you around this charming island for approximately 2 hours. You will visit the stunning capital city and fortress, Cittadella, where you can explore the city. It is of utmost importance that you hear the driver’s instructions with pick up points and times that need to be adhered to. You are to be at the point determined a few minutes earlier to ensure that you do not miss your transport. After visiting this mythical island of Gozo, you will once again board the vessel [dep at 14:00 hrs] and cruise to the Blue Lagoon in Comino where you will disembark. The Blue Lagoon is famous for its turquoise, bluish-green crystal clear waters. Departure from Comino will be at 16:00 hrs to return to your desired destination. It is important that you are at your embarkation point at least 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Please plan on arriving at least 20 minutes prior to departure time to allow for boarding. Boarding opens 60 minutes before and closes 15 minutes before the departure time.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended to avoid disappointment. Especially during the high season.

Excursion was very nice. In Gozo you are driven around by bus and can look at the small center in peace. Then you have 1 hour at the blue lagoon to go swimming. Beautiful place, unfortunately overcrowded. All in all super organized

The whole excursion was great, sadly the blue lagoon was a bit of a waste … it was just impossible to swim or enjoy the sea as even with the provided slide it was not the safest option. Other boats had the slides and jumping platforms on the side where it was much safer to jump or dive from.

Overall, the boat ride (and bus ride on Gozo) was more than worth it for me. I was able to see everything I had planned to do beforehand. The time in Xlendi and Victoria is short, but if you are good on foot you will definitely see the most important things and the tour is a good start to get at least a small overview of Gozo. The Blue Lagoon is beautiful, but unfortunately very crowded even in May. On the small beach itself it was practically impossible to get into the water because of the crowds. A little off the beaten track, there are very good ways to get into the water over rocks/stones. However, you have to be careful of the many jellyfish. That was an additional challenge at some entry points.

The activity has very well planned times and we spent a very pleasant day. The only thing is to say that the Blue Lagoon, although it is spectacular, was overcrowded and lost all its charm.

Very confusing on which boat was ours (lost in translation even thou everyone was speaking English). Once that was figured out it appeared the tickets were oversold, not everyone had a seat for 90min cruise to Gozo. That said, the sites/scenery were well worth the trip and we would do it again.

The boat ride was bumpy and alot of people got sick. The bus driver was also our turist guide on Gozo Island and with limited information. Comino must be great in the summer time, not for may....to windy and cold water. This should been included in the price.
