Overview

Voyage on the Mediterranean Sea to see two Maltese islands up close on this 6.5-hour tour of Comino and Gozo. First take a half-day cruise around Comino to visit main attractions on the island and swim or snorkel in a blue lagoon. Afterward, take a half-day jeep safari across the island of Gozo, and stop at lesser-known spots only locals are familiar with.

Departing from Mgarr Harbour (10:00 A.M)
Departure Point: Pickup from main hotels around Malta and Gozo. If you are not staying in hotels in this area, an alternative pickup location near your residence will be advised.

Begin your day with pickup from your central hotel in Malta or Gozo by your driver/guide, and catch the 9:45 a.m. ferry to the island of Gozo. (The ferry ride is approximately 30 minutes long). This is a unique way to visit both Gozo and Comino in one. This tour offers the best of the the two islands together. The jeep safari will take you to places not usually seen on a typical Gozo tour, and it'll give you insight on the real Gozitan lifestyle. On the Comino portion of this tour, you'll visit the main attractions of the island and swim in the crystal-clear blue seas nearby. Swim in the blue lagoon, and visit caves and bays around the island with more stops for swimming and snorkeling. Your ends with drop-off at your hotel.

I gave a rating of 4 because the guide, especially in the jeep, did not speak Italian, and to be honest a little English, obviously we understood each other off the cuff anyway because he is, after all, a delightful and helpful person. The places visited by boat are very beautiful, the only flaw is that there are not many spaces, the boat is quite crowded and the space for movement is minimal. Apart from these details to which one adapts with a simple spirit of adaptation, the rest is ok. Excellent lunch also for vegetarians if you are!

The activity was amazing, definitely my favorite activity completed in Malta. Our guide on Gozo, Mario was brilliant, funny and kind to myself and my four friends. This is 100% my must book recommendation when holidaying in Malta and if you want to see the beautiful island of Gozo.

Absolutely recommended experience! A way without too many commitments to better visit Gozo and Comino, all organized in detail by the agency. Joe the jeep guide on our tour was very helpful and personable. The phenomenal boat experience, for €10 more I also recommend a visit to the caves. Lunch is nothing special, a simple buffet with various dishes but it is not the fundamental part of the day. In short, a wonderful experience to remember absolutely and to recommend.

Unfortunately I don’t believe we got the tour as advertised. We expected all of our trip to be on the timber sloop but it appears the tour was overbooked so we were forced to travel by a much smaller vessel to Gozo which was operated by a young man who made this crossing with speed. This is not the type of crossing I or the screaming children enjoyed on this boat transfer. Upon landing in Gozo we were assigned our Jeep driver who was knowledgeable but hard to hear if sitting in the back nor could we see places of interest from the back. To get in and out of the back of the jeep was difficult as there was no step available to use - something that could be easily fixed making the jeep safer. Our return journey was in the timber sloop and a much more enjoyable crossing. Swimming was great. Boat tour to Count of Monticristo caves was sadly not worth the additional cost. Also, perhaps having 2 ladders one to leave the boat and one to return from swim would be useful to limit congestion.

Really great way to explore the different sites in Camino and Gozo. At the beginning of the trip, they split the group into 2 (one goes for the boat trip others go to the jeep safari). We went on the boat trip first and this is probably the better one since the lagoon is less crowded in the morning. Overall would recommend :)

Overall not worth of money, a lot of unorganized aspects of excursion, timing, confusion between operators, not proper explanation, jeep safety aspect, very old without proper belts.. etc. A lot of place for improvement
